The school was founded in 1977 by Journey Church, a Pentecostal church affiliated with the Assemblies of God USA, the second largest Pentecostal denomination in the U.S.
Aside from Kenosha, Mills has lived in other parts of Wisconsin including Pewaukee, Brookfield, Sussex and Janesville. He also previously lived in Thomaston, Georgia, USA.
Mills is 5’10” tall and his registered weight 175 pounds. He and his wife Serah E. Mills, 41, of Kenosha have five children together.
Why was Gabriel Mills arrested twice?
A man, 37, employed the police department of Racine, Racine County, Wisconsin is one of the Journey Church members. In March 2024, his wife, 39, sent him two intimate photos of herself through text a text message.
On the evening of September 22, 2024, the Racine Police Department employee, his wife and several other Journey Church members went to Gabe and Serah’s residence in Kenosha for a life group, a program through the church. That evening, Gabe borrowed the Racine Police Department employee’s photo to download Audible for him.
Instead, Gabe looked for intimate photos of the man’s wife and from 8:20-8:22 p.m., he sent them to himself via Airdrop without permission. When she saw the photos on the pastor’s phone, he tried to convince her that the photos were of Serah.
On September 23, 2024, Gabe indicated he did not wish to speak with the Kenosha Police Department officers based on legal advice he had received. On September 28, 2024, the Racine Police Department employee and his wife went to the Kenosha Police Department to file a complaint against the pastor.
That day, a search warrant for Gabe’s cell phone was served and a download of that cell phone was conducted. Intimate photos of the woman were found in the cell phone.
On September 30, 2024, Gabe was arrested and charged with two counts of capturing an intimate representation without consent. At 9:35 p.m., he called Serah while he was in jail and told her he was facing two charges and he thought it was just because of the pictures of the Racine Police Department employee’s wife.
“I don’t know,” Gabe said. “I just feel like they are doing this now because they are upset at this point.”
“What about the other ones?” Serah asked.
“I don’t know,” Gabe responded.
On October 2, 2024, Gabe turned 41. On the same day, he went to bond court where Commissioner William Michel II set bail at $7,500 cash, which was paid by a man named Don Taylor.
On October 3, 2024, Gabe was released. His relationship with Taylor is unknown.
On October 5, 2024, another person came forward, accusing Gabe of the same crime. On October 9, 2024, the pastor went to court before Michel for a preliminary hearing, which was attended by Serah and other Journey Church members.
Michel found probable cause for Gabe’s two felony charges and set the next court date. Right after the hearing, the pastor was arrested again.
Detectives found evidence on Gabe’s phone that substantiated the claims made by a new complainant. The pastor was charged with one more count of capturing an intimate representation without consent.
