Winfred Adah Omwakwe is a Kenyan public relations and communications specialist, model and beauty queen born in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a supporter of the Kenya Human Rights Commission, the United Nations Environment Programme and Save the Children.

BIOGRAPHY
A member of the Luhya tribe, Omwakwe is the first Kenyan woman to hold a grand slam international beauty pageant title. The youngest of three siblings, she has an older brother and an older sister who are both lawyers.
Aside from graduating from the Institute of Health Care Management in Nairobi with a physiotherapy certificate, Omwakwe also graduated cum laude from the International University of Monaco in Les Moneghetti, Monaco with a bachelor’s degree in communication and entertainment management. - On October 20, 2002, she represented Kenya at Miss Earth 2022 and competed against 52 other candidates at the Folk Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was runner-up to Džejla Glavović of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and was crowned Miss Earth-Air 2002.
2003
- On May 28, 2003, Glavović was dethroned.
- On August 4, 2003, she flew from Kenya to the Philippines. She had a brief stopover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- On August 7, 2003, she was formally crowned as the new Miss Earth 2002 at the Carousel Gardens in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
- On November 9, 2003, she crowned her successor Miss Earth 2003 Dania Prince of Honduras at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
