Winfred Adah Omwakwe represented Kenya in the second edition of Miss Earth. She is the first Kenyan woman to hold a grand slam international beauty pageant title.

BIOGRAPHY
A member of the Luhya tribe, Omwakwe is a Kenyan public relations and communications specialist, model and beauty queen born in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a supporter of the Kenya Human Rights Commission, the United Nations Environment Programme and Save the Children.
Omwakwe graduated from the Institute of Health Care Management in Nairobi with a physiotherapy certificate. She graduated cum laude from the International University of Monaco in Les Moneghetti, Monaco with a bachelor’s degree in communication and entertainment management.

Omwakwe speaks Swahili, English and German and she is 5’9″ tall. She has an older brother and an older sister who are both lawyers.
2000s
- On October 20, 2002, she represented Kenya at Miss Earth 2022 and competed against 52 other candidates at the Folk Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was runner-up to Džejla Glavović of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and was crowned Miss Earth-Air 2002. On May 28, 2003, Glavović was dethroned.
- On August 4, 2003, she flew from Kenya to the Philippines with a brief stopover in Dubai, UAE.
- On August 7, 2003, she was formally crowned as the new Miss Earth 2002 at the Carousel Gardens in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
- On November 9, 2003, she crowned her successor Miss Earth 2003 Dania Prince of Honduras at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
2010s
- On January 28, 2014, Miss Earth announced that she was expected to finish graduate school at the International University of Monaco.
- From May 2015 to August 2015, she was an Arla Foods marketing assistant.
- In April 2016, she joined Base Titanium.
- In February 2018, she left Base Titanium.
- In March 2018, she became a Bisous Communications consultant.
2020s
- In February 2024, she visited Kisumu, Kenya where she championed Prestige Invitational’s mission in the westernern part of Kenya and her visit culminated in a working breakfast with the Africa Cancer Foundation led by Mama Kisumu Dorothy Nyong’o.
