
Who was Shamsud-Din Jabbar?
Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar was an American information technology specialist and real estate agent from Houston, Texas, United States. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was married and divorced three times.
Jabbar was 1 year older than his former wife Nakedra Charrlle Jabbar and 2 years older than his former wife Shaneen Chantil Jabbar. Shamsud-Din and Nakedra have two daughters together.
Born in Beaumont, Texas to Abdal Jabbar and Herma Jabbar, Shamsud-Din grew up in Beaumont with his two brothers. Shamsud-Din was an alumnus of Central High School in Beaumont, Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas, Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and the noncommissioned officer (NCO) academies of Fort Eisenhower, Augusta, Georgia and Fort Richardson, Alaska, USA.
Aside from Beaumont and Houston, Shamsud-Din also lived in other parts of Texas including Cypress, Fresno and Lissie. He lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA and in different parts of Georgia including Clarkson, Marietta and Thomson.
After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, Shamsud-Din pursued both real estate and cloud computing. He served as the property manager and president of Blue Meadow Properties LLC in Sugar Land, Texas.
In 2012, Shamsud-Din was registered as a Democrat in North Carolina although he had no party affiliation on his Texas voter registration. In 2013, his gross monthly resources were about $3,990.
In 2021, Shamsud-Din left Ernst & Young. From 2021 to 2022, he worked for the financial services company Deloitte where he earned $120,000 a year.

- In December 2002, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft of between $50 and $500 in Harris County, Texas and was sentenced to nine months of community supervision.

2017
- In 2017, he married Shaneen in Texas and he founded Blue Meadow Properties LLC.
2018
- In 2018, he joined Accenture as a cloud migration engineer and started working at Ernst & Young in cloud computing.
2019
- In 2019, he left Accenture and obtained a real estate license.
2020
- In July 2020, he left the U.S. Army Reserve as a staff sergeant and Shaneen was granted a restraining order she took out against him.
2021
- On July 22, 2021, he filed for divorce from Shaneen in Fort Bend County, Texas.
2022
- In January 2022, he wrote in an email to Shaneen’s lawyer Daryl Longworth, “I cannot afford the house payment. It is past due in excess of $27,000 and in danger of foreclosure if we delay settling the divorce.”
- In February 2022, he claimed in his divorce filings that he amassed $16,000 in credit card debt to pay for housing, attorney’s fees and other expenses.
- He and Shaneen lived in Fresno before their divorce was finalized in August 2022.
2023
- In 2023, his real estate license expired.
2024
- In October 2024, he turned 42.
- On December 30, 2024, he rented Rodrigo Diaz‘s Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck through the Turo app.
- At around 3:15 a.m. on January 1, 2025, he was fatally shot by New Orleans Police Department officers after he intentionally rammed Diaz’s Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing 10 people and injuring at least 35 others.
