A harrowing road rage incident on Interstate 24 in Livingston County concluded with the arrest of Sharp. The situation, which prompted an immediate response from law enforcement, underscores the severe dangers associated with aggressive driving and the escalation of conflicts on public roadways.

At approximately 7:03 p.m. on May 22, 2026, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 received an urgent report from a motorist traveling westbound on I-24. The caller relayed a terrifying experience, stating that while navigating the highway, a passenger in a neighboring vehicle had brandished a firearm, pointing it directly at them through an open window.

The victim provided dispatchers with critical details to assist in locating the suspect. Traffic stop and arrest

Utilizing the description and plate information provided by the victim, KSP troopers successfully tracked the vehicle—a blue 2001 Toyota Tundra—to a location on US-62 in Calvert City, Marshall County, Kentucky. The troopers conducted a traffic stop on the truck, during which they recovered a handgun from inside the vehicle.

The passenger of the Tundra was identified as Sharp. Upon being questioned by authorities, he reportedly admitted to brandishing the handgun out of the passenger window, citing personal frustration toward the other motorist as the catalyst for his actions.

Following this admission, Sharp was taken into custody. He faces serious legal consequences for his behavior, including charges of wanton endangerment in the first degree and menacing.

While Sharp is currently in custody, troopers are still investigating the situation. Trooper Connor Dunigan of KSP Post 1 is spearheading the investigation.
