Nha Trang
Situated along the south-central coast of Vietnam, Nha Trang is the capital of Khánh Hòa Province and one of the country’s most celebrated seaside destinations. Renowned for its sweeping 6-to-7-kilometer crescent beach, turquoise waters, and backdrop of verdant hills, the city offers a balance of tropical relaxation and urban energy.
The region benefits from a tropical savanna climate with over 300 sunny days annually, making its sheltered bay—frequently recognized among the world’s most beautiful—a prime hub for swimming, scuba diving, and island-hopping. Popular offshore stops include Hòn Mun, famous for its rich coral reefs, and Hòn Tre, home to the VinWonders amusement complex accessible by a sea-crossing cable car.
Beyond its shores, Nha Trang retains deep historical and cultural roots. Key heritage sites include the Po Nagar Cham Towers, built and expanded between the 8th and 13th centuries, the hilltop Long Sơn Pagoda featuring a massive white Buddha, and the French-colonial Nha Trang Cathedral. Visitors can also experience local mud baths, known for their mineral-rich therapeutic properties. As Vietnam’s premier seafood destination, the city invites travelers to sample grilled lobster, jellyfish noodles, and fresh local catches alongside vibrant oceanfront promenades.
