On December 14, 2019, Chaves will crown her successor among 30 contestants. Chaves opted out of international pageants but supported Miss France 2020 candidates.
111 Miss World 2019 candidates competing in London
Vanessa Ponce of Mexico was crowned Miss World 2018 on December 8, 2018. She will pass on her title at the Miss World 2019 pageant on December 14 in London, featuring 111 contestants from around the globe. Only a select few from each region advanced to the Top 12 during the previous competition.
