Born to doctor parents, Chhillar is a medical student. She is also a model and a trained Kuchipudi dancer.

Chhillar is the sixth Miss World from India. She followed the footsteps of Reita Faria, Aishwarya Rai, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey and Priyanka Chopra, who won the crown in 1966, 1994, 1997, 1999 and 2000, respectively.

Three years after becoming Miss World 2000, Chopra made her debut in Bollywood films starring in “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy” opposite Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. Recently, Chopra made her debut in Hollywood films starring in “Baywatch” with Jon Bass, Kelly Rohrbach, Alexandra Daddario, Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson.

It has yet to be seen if Chhillar is set to follow Chopra’s career as an actress. Aside from the Miss World 2017 crown, Chhillar was also one of the five Beauty with a Purpose challenge winners along with Miss Philippines Laura Lehmann, Miss Vietnam Do My Linh, Miss Indonesia Achintya Holte Nilsen and Miss South Africa Ade van Heerden.

Runner-up to Chhillar was Miss Mexico Andrea Meza. Miss England Stephanie Hill was second runner-up.

Miss World 2017 update: Miss Mongolia Enkhjin Tseveendash wins Multimedia, Head-to-Head challenges

Enkhjin Tseveendash
Enkhjin Tseveendash (Miss World – Mongolia)

Miss Mongolia Enkhjin Tseveendash, 24, is one of the candidates to look out for in Miss World 2017. The Interior Design company owner recently won one of the Head-to-Head challenges and earned the Miss Multimedia award.

Tseveendash earned her Master’s degree in Industrial Design after gaining a First Class Honours Degree at the Cambridge School of Art in Interior Design. She has a special talent in Mongolian deep throat singing and she is a lyrical ballet dancer.

The two awards Tseveendash won before the Miss World 2017 grand coronation night are two spots supposedly allotted for two candidates in the Top 40 quarter finals, which will be comprised of five fast-track challenge winners, 20 Head-to-Head challenge winners and 15 candidates selected by the judges. Because Miss Mongolia won two awards, the judges are expected to select 16 candidates to advance to Top 40.

In the Head-to-Head challenge, Tseveendash belonged to the eighth group. She defeated Miss Cyprus, Miss Kenya, Miss Ireland, Miss Russia and Miss Singapore.

For the Multimedia fast-track challenge, Tseveendash stood out among the eight finalists. Here is the complete list of the results:

Miss Multimedia: Miss Mongolia Enkhjin Tseveendash

Miss India Manushi Chhillar

Miss Indonesia Achintya Holte Nilsen

Miss England Stephanie Hill

Miss Nepal Nikita Chandak

Having won the Miss Multimedia award, Tseveendash has a good chance of placing well in Miss World 2017. Here are the previous winners of the fast-track challenge since it was introduced in 2012:

Miss India Vanya Mishra (Miss World 2012 Top 7)

Miss India Navneet Kaur Dhillon (Miss World 2013 Top 20)

Miss USA Elizabeth Safrit (Miss World 2014 Second Runner-up)

Miss Philippines Hillarie Parungao (Miss World 2015 Top 10)

Miss Philippines Catriona Gray (Miss World 2016 Top 5)

Mongolia started joining Miss World only in 2005 and since then, only two candidates placed. Sarnai Amar reached Top 25 and won the sports fast-track challenge in 2010 and while Bayartsetseg Altangerel reached Top 11 and won the talent fast-track challenge in 2016.

Altangerel was also the People’s Choice winner in Miss World 2016. She also reached Top 24 and was the Miss Multimedia first runner-up.
