‘Brave 13: Europe Evolution’ results: Piotr Tokarski vs. Sam Slater

Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation successfully made its European debut on June 8, 2018 with the 12-bout fight card of “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” which took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The second bout of the evening was between Piotr Tokarski of Poland and Sam Slater of Ireland.

“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” marked Slater’s Brave CF debut and Tokarski’s professional MMA debut. The two competed in the featherweight division, which is currently dominated by Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias Boudegzdame of Algeria.

The judges scored the featherweight bout between Tokarski and Slater with a unanimous decision after three five-minute rounds. It was in favor of the Irish contender.

After defeating Tokarski at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” Slater improved his professional MMA record to 2 wins and 0 loss. When Slater made his professional MMA debut on May 12, 2018 at “BAMMA 35” at the 3ARENA in Dublin, Ireland, he submitted Jeanderson “The Jackal” Castro of Brazil via rear-naked choke in the second round.

Slater is training out of Straight Blast Gym (SBG) Ireland. It is the same gym where former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor trains.

Several celebrity athletes attended “Brave 13: Europe Evolution.” Among them were former Bellator MMA fighter Bubba Jenkins, British professional boxer Amir Khan, English MMA fighter Darren “The Gorilla” Till, who competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor.

In the main event of the evening, McGregor was on the corner of his SBG Ireland teammate Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, who challenged reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of the Philippines. Winning via unanimous decision, the Filipino champ retained his title.

Till was on the corner of Erick Carlos “Indio Brabo” Silva of Brazil, who defeated Erik “The Last Viking” Carlsson of Sweden in a lightweight division. Here is a clip from the UFC fighter during the event:
