Kicking off “ONE: Spirit of a Warrior” at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon on June 29, 2018 is a match between Elliot “The Dragon” Compton, 29, of Brisbane, Australia and Matthew “Sobek” Semper, 28, of Bronx, New York. On June 27, 2018, they had their face-off during the press conference held by ONE Championship in collaboration with Telenor Myanmar at the Pullman Yangon Centrepoint Hotel in Yangon.
“Matthew Semper is a very tough opponent and possesses a lot of power in all areas of his game,” Compton stated. “He’s aggressive and always determined to win.”
For Compton, it is an honor to be fighting with ONE Championship, which he describes as a great promotion that shares his passion and devotion to martial arts. He is excited about another great matchup with the promotion.

Compton will compete against Semper in a kickboxing contest in the lightweight division. It will be one of the three matches on the ONE Super Series card.
On April 20, 2018, Compton competed against Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre, 35, of Brazil in a Muay Thai match in the lightweight division at “ONE: Heroes of Honor.” Watch the bout here:
