Brave Combat Federation has released the complete fight card for “Brave 14,” which will take place at the Omnisports Indoor Club in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018. This makes the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts organization the first global promotion to host an MMA event in Africa.
Featuring eight bouts, “Brave 14” is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The fight week will fall in the historic week for sports in Morocco, which starts with the first ever Spanish Super Cup hosted outside Spain in Tangier, Morocco on August 12, 2018.
Headlining “Brave 14” are Jeremy “JBC” Kennedy, 25, of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and Danyel Pilo, 30, of Lavagna, Genoa, Italy, who will compete in the featherweight division. In the co-main event, Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 22, of France will face Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 21, of the United States in the welterweight division.
The other fights in the main card a bantamweight bout between Felipe Efrain, 24, of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Arnold “Silverback” Quero, 30, of Paris, France. Other bouts on the main card include a flyweight contest between Velimurad Alkhsaov and Sean “Shorty Rock” Santella, 33, of the U.S. and a middleweight bout between Ikram Aliskerov, 25, of Makhachkala, Russia and Diego “The Silencer” Gonzalez, 33, of Stockholm, Sweden.
Six rising sensations will be featured on the preliminary card including Keith “Killa” Lee, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the younger brother of UFC fighter Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee, 25. Making his Brave CF debut, Keith will face Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22, from Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines in the bantamweight division.
Also, Artur “Tornado” Guseynov, 34, of Dagestan, Russia will face Tarek Suleiman, 29, of Syria in a middleweight bout. Djamil “Dynamite” Chan, 28, of Rotterdam, Netherlands will face Alejandro “Pato” Martinez, 27, of Jalisco, Mexico in a lightweight bout.
The “Brave 14” media day will take place at the Royal Tulip City Center Hotel in Tangier on August 16, 2018 followed by the official weigh-ins will be on August 17, 2018. The fight night will be broadcasted live through StarSat and VodaCom in Africa, Abu Dhabi Sports in the MENA region, Combate in Brazil, FloCombat in the U.S. and Fite TV in North America and Europe.
