For the first time in the history of mixed martial arts, an MMA event hosted by a global organization took place in Africa. This was courtesy of Bahrain-based MMA promotion Brave Combat Federation, which hosted “Brave 14” in Morocco on August 14, 2018.

“Brave 14” took place at the Omnisports Indoor Club of Tangier in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018. In the main event, Brave CF Lightweight Champion Ottman “Bulldozer” Azaitar, 28, of Germany competed in the welterweight division. The German-Moroccan fighter knocked out Danijel “Vitez: Kokora, 28, of Deliblato, Serbia at 0:32 of Round 1.

Winning at “Brave 14” means Azaitar is still an undefeated fighter. Beating Kokora improved the professional MMA record of the German-Moroccan fighter to 10 wins and 0 loss.

On the other hand, Kokora’s record downgraded to 16 wins and 14 losses. “Brave 14” marked the Brave CF debut of the Serbian contender and the fourth bout of his German-Moroccan opponent in the promotion.

Kokora was the fourth fighter to lose to Azaitar in the Brave CF cage. The first three were Kevin Koldobsky of Argentina, Charlie Leary of Harrow, Greater London, England and Alejandro “Pato” Martinez, 27, of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.

Azaitar made his Brave CF debut on December 2, 2016 at “Brave 2: Dynasty” where he defeated Koldobsky of Argentina via unanimous decision. The former returned to the cage on March 31, 2017 at “Brave 4: Unstoppable” where he knocked out Leary via punches.

On November 17, 2017, Azaitar won the inaugural Brave CF Lightweight Championship bout at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.” He knocked out Martinez via punches.

The recent match between Azaitar and Kokora was one of the two welterweight bouts at “Brave 14.” The other one was between Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 22, of Nantes, France and Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 21, alton, Georgia, United States, which ended at 3:20 of Round 1 when the former knocked out the latter.
