For the first time in the history of mixed martial arts, an MMA event hosted by a global organization took place in Africa. This was courtesy of Bahrain-based MMA promotion Brave Combat Federation, which hosted “Brave 14” in Morocco on August 14, 2018.
Featuring nine bouts, “Brave 14” took place at the Omnisports Indoor Club of Tangier in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018. In the third match of the evening, Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22, of Baguio City, Philippines faced Keith “Killa” Lee, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
Pacatiw and Lee competed in the bantamweight division. Currently reigning as the Brave CF Bantamweight Champion is Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, who trains at Team Lakay in Baguio City, Philippines with Pacatiw.
After three five-minute rounds at “Brave 14,” the bantamweight bout between Pacatiw and Lee was left in the hands of the judges. The Filipino fighter won via split decision.
“Brave 14” marked Pacatiw’s sixth Brave CF bout. This made him the athlete with the most bouts in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion.
Winning at “Brave 14” improved Pacatiw’s professional MMA record to 4 wins and 3 losses. It was his third victory in Brave CF.
In Pacatiw’s corner was Team Lakay head coach Mark “The Machine” Sangiao. In Lee’s corner was his brother Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee, 25, who is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Losing to Pacatiw downgraded Keith’s professional MMA record to 2 wins and 3 losses. “Brave 14” marked the Brave CF debut of the fighter from Las Vegas.
