“The Terminator” Sunoto, 33, of Jakarta, Indonesia has earned his eighth victory in ONE Championship. He was one of the eight Indonesian contenders on the “ONE: Conquest of Heroes” card, which featured 10 mixed martial arts bouts and two striking-only matches under ONE Super Series.
On September 22, 2018, ONE Championship returned to Jakarta for “ONE: Conquest of Heroes,” which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center. In the third bout of the evening, Sunoto competed in an MMA bout against Victiorio “Indra” Senduk, 37, of Bandung, Indonesia in the bantamweight division.
Referee Olivier Coste put a stop to the bantamweight bout between Sunoto and Senduk at 4:12 of Round 2. Sunoto submitted Senduk via rear-naked choke.
By winning at “ONE: Conquest of Heroes,” Sunoto improved his professional MMA record to 10 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Senduk’s record downgraded to 3 wins and 2 losses.
It was a redemptive win for Sunoto, who came out of a loss to Shuya “Stealth” Kamikubo, 25, of Kanagawa, Japan at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” on July 7, 2018. The first seven opponents the Indonesian fighter defeated in ONE Championship were Mario Satya Wirawanof Bogor, Indonesia, Burn “Hitman” Soriano of the Philippines, Yohan “The Ice Man” Mulia Legowo of Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, Chan Heng of Cambodia, Rin Saroth of Cambodia, Hisyam “Zephyrus” Samsudin of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and Roel “Akiyama” Rosauro of Cebu, Philippines.
Also fighting out of Jakarta, Stefer “The Lion” Rahardian, 31, competed against Peng Xue Wen, 22, of Zhongshan, Guangdong, China in the strawweight division in the co-main event of the evening. The Chinese contender won via unanimous decision.
In the main event, Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22, of the Philippines had his rematch with reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito, 34, of Japan for the second time. The Filipino challenger dethroned the Japanese champion via unanimous decision.
