On November 23, 2018, ONE Championship will crown its new ONE Lightweight World Champion in the main event of “ONE: Conquest of Champions” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Recently vacated by reigning ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian: Nguyen, 29, of Australia and Vietnam, the title will be contested between Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, 34, of the Philippines and Amir Khan, 23, Singapore.

Khan’s most recent opponent is former ONE Featherweight World Champion Honorio “The Rock” Banario, 28, of the Philippines. The latter is Folayang’s Team Lakay teammate.

“I think Folayang can get an early finish,” Banario predicted the result of the “ONE: Conquest of Champions” main event. “It won’t go full five rounds. The fans in Manila are in for a treat.”

Banario has acknowledged the mistakes he committed, which led to his loss to Khan at “ONE: Beyond the Horizon” on September 8, 2018. The former believes that Folayang will have a different fate at “ONE: Conquest of Champions.”

“I became careless and overconfident in our fight but I don’t see Eduard making the same mistake,” Banario explained. “We all know that he is a complete fighter. He has this style that Khan will have a hard time dealing with.”

“When it comes to strength, striking and wrestling, Khan will have a hard time overcoming Eduard in those areas,” Banario added. “I’m not underestimating Khan but Folayang is simply on another level. Both are complete fighters but Folayang is a much more experienced veteran.”

According to Banario, Folayang is much more motivated in training for the five-round championship clash with Khan. Witnessing Folayang’s grind at the gym to be in top physical shape, Banario made a bold prediction on the highly anticipated lightweight title showdown in the main event of “ONE: Conquest of Champions.”

“I see a highly-motivated Eduard Folayang in training because he didn’t expect to be blessed with another shot at the world title,” Banario shared. “He’s just so motivated for this bout and is ready reclaim the world title.”

“This is the right chance and timing for him to get back to his throne,” Banario said of Folayang. “He is ecstatic each and every time he’s training.”
