Truong Ngoc Tinh represented Vietnam at Manhunt International 2017 at the Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand on November 27, 2017. He competed against 36 other models and won.

Runner-up to Truong was Kongnat Choeisuwan of Thailand. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Gaetan Osman of Lebanon, Mohamed Wazeem Cammar of Sri Lanka and Andry Permadi of Indonesia.

Manhunt International was established in 1993 through a partnership between Rosko Dickinson of Australia and Alex Liu of Singapore. Thomas Sasse of Germany won the inaugural edition of the competition.

Dickinson is currently the executive president of Manhunt International. Liu passed away in January 2018.

On December 2, 2018, Truong will crown his successor at the QT Gold Coast Ballroom on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. It is the 19th edition of the international male model search based on the Gold Coast.

Marea Lambert Barker will host the coronation ceremony. Choeisuwan, Dickinson and Truong will serve as judges along with Skin 02 co-founder Alison Atia, Miss V8 Supercars 2016 Charlotte Cushing, 2017 Maxim Australian Swimwear Model of the Year Chloe Hurrell, Manhunt Macau 2014 Elvis Chan and Procon Leisure International managing director Selina Macdonald.
