Nong-O Gaiyanghadao to face Han Zi Hao for ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Championship

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, 32, is one of the six fighters representing Thailand at “ONE: Clash of Legends.” It will be the first ONE Championship event to take place in Thailand in 2019.

ONE Championship held the “ONE: Clash of Legends” open workout on January 28, 2019 at the P.K. Saenchai Muay Thai Gym in Bangkok, Thailand. In attendance were Nong-o and his fellow Thai ONE Championship athletes namely Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige, 29, Superlek Kiatmoo9, 23, Chamuaktong Fightermuaythai, 30, Kongsak P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym, 28, and Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai, 30.

Featuring four Muay Thai bouts and eight mixed martial arts matches, “ONE: Clash of Legends” will take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on February 16, 2019. In the main event of the evening, Nong-o will face Han Zi Hao, 23, of China for the inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Championship.

“I am very excited to be competing for the ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Title,” Nong-o stated during the “ONE: Hero’s Ascent” open workout. “I am thankful that ONE Championship has given me this opportunity, and getting the chance to do it in front of my Thai fans is amazing.”

“ONE Championship is a global event so I am proud to represent Thailand and show the world the beautiful art of Muay Thai,” Nong-o continued. “I am going to bring my all, and I expect Han Zi Hao to do the same so it will be a very entertaining bout for the fans for sure.”

Including Thailand, 13 countries will be represented at “ONE: Hero’s Ascent.” The other countries are Cambodia, China, France, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Representing Thailand, “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, 29, is also on the “ONE: Clash of Legends” card. He will face Samy “AK47” Sana, 30, of France in a Muay Thai bout in the featherweight division.

Kongsak will compete in the co-main event of the evening. He will face Alaverdi “Dagger” Ramazanov, 24, of Russia in a Muay Thai bout in the bantamweight division.
