On March 15, 2019, Jomar Pa-ac, 21, of Baguio City, Philippines will fight in Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation for the fourth time. He is one of the five Team Lakay fighters on the “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” card.
In an exclusive interview at the TV5 Media Center in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines on February 18, 2018, I asked Pa-ac what his fans can expect from him at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.” He told me, “Expect an explosive show.”
“I want this to be my (successful) comeback since my last fight with Brave was unfortunate,” Pa-ac continued. “I lost and I can’t lose twice in a row. I will win this fight.”
On December 2, 2016, Pa-ac made his successful Brave CF debut at “Brave 2: Dynasty” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain. He defeated Haider “The Giant” Farman, 23, of Pakistan via unanimous decision.
On March 31, 2017, Pa-ac defeated Atif “Little Hawk” Mohamed, 25, of Bahrain via split decision at “Brave 4: Unstoppable” at the IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. On May 11, 2018, the Team Lakay fighter was knocked out by Hussain “Iron” Ayyad, 25, of Bahrain at “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” at Balai Sarbini in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Currently, Pa-ac holds a professional MMA record to 5 wins and 2 losses. Coming out of the loss to Ayyad, the Team Lakay fighter will face Satya Behuria, 23, of Kendraparha, Orissa, India in the flyweight division at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.”
Behuria made his successful Brave CF debut on December 22, 2018 at “Brave 20: Hyderabad” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India where he submitted his fellow Indian fighter Sarabjit Singh via triangle choke. Pa-ac noticed that Behuria is into wrestling and ground game.
“At this point, I think we could go toe-to-toe (in the) ground game, even striking,” Pa-ac said. The Team Lakay fighter added that he has a little bit of advantage in the striking department.
“Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Meanwhile, watch my interview with Pa-ac here:
