Representing Venezuela, civil engineer and model Jorge Eduardo Núñez Martinez, 24, is one of the bachelors from around the world who will compete for the Mister World 2019 title. He is 6’1” tall.
Núñez hails from Cabimas, Zulia, Venezuela. It is home to Highway Nuevo Juan, Highway El Rosario, Concordia Square, El Leon Square, El Mirador Square, General Rafael Urdaneta Square, Los Chimbángeles Square, House of the Culture of Cabimas, House Museum Margarita Soto and Pedro Oporto School of Visual Arts.
A Universidad del Zulia graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering, Núñez works as a construction supervisor and a model. It is his dream to have his own construction company and help homeless people in his home country.
On April 13, 2019, Núñez was crowned Mr. World Venezuela 2019 at the Venevision Head Quarters in Venezuela’s capital Caracas. He bested 13 other contestants.
Among Núñez’s favorite sports are basketball, volleyball and athletics. He also enjoys CrossFit, playing the Venezuelan Tambora drum and dancing his home country’s national dance.
The last time Venezuela was represented in Mr. World was in 2014. Jesús Antonio Casanova Sarmiento, 30, of Barinas, Venezuela did not place in the eighth edition of the pageant, which took place in Torbay, Devon, England. but made it to the Top 10 of Mr. World Extreme Sports.
On August 23, 2019, Mr. World 2016 Rohit Khandelwal, 29, of India will crown his successor at the Mr. World 2019 coronation night at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It will be the 10th edition of the international male beauty pageant.
Mr. World 2019 marks the first time the pageant is held in the Philippines. If Núñez wins the crown, he will be the pageant’s second titleholder from Venezuela following Mister World 1998 Sandro Finoglio, 46, of Caracas.
