Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym, 29, of Bangkok, Thailand was one of the winners at “ONE: Legendary Quest.” It was the Thai martial artist’s first victory in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.
Featuring three Muay Thai matches, two kickboxing contests and nine MMA bouts, “ONE: Legendary Quest” took place at the Baoshan Arena in Shanghai, China on June 15, 2019. In the seventh bout of the evening, Rodlek fought Liam “Hitman” Harrison, 33 of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England in a Muay Thai match in the bantamweight division with Atsushi Onari as the referee.
After three three-minute rounds, the bantamweight Muay Thai match was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Onari raised the hand of Rodlek, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Winning at “ONE: Legendary Quest” improved the professional Muay Thai record of Rodlek to 126 wins, 40 losses and 5 draws. On the other hand, Harrison now has 85 wins, 23 losses and 2 draws.
Rodlek was one of the two representatives of Thailand at “ONE: Legendary Quest” while Harrison solely represented the U.K. Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Scotland and South Korea were also represented.
On June 12, 2019, Rodlek and Harrison had their official face-off during the press conference at Yunspace in Shanghai. The event was graced by ONE Championship Greater China chairman Hua Fung Teh and reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 31, of China.
Born in Ban Na San, Surat Thani, Thailand on February 3, 1990, Rodlek went to Rattana Bundit University in Bangkok. As a Muay Thai fighter, he has been competing since he was 10 years old.
The Thai martial artist made his ONE Super Series debut at “ONE: Legendary Quest.” Formerly called Rodlek Jaotalaytong, he is currently training out of PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym in Bangkok.
