Sao Paulo, Brazil’s Flavio de Queiroz earns 1st Brave CF win at ‘Brave 25’ in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais

Flavio de Queiroz, 27, of Sao Paulo, Brazil was one of the winners at the Brave Combat Federation combat sports event “Brave 25.” It was his first victory in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion.

Brave CF held “Brave 25,” which featured 10 MMA bouts, at the Arena Minas Tênis Clube in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil on August 30, 2019. In the second bout of the evening, de Queiroz competed at a catch weight of 60kg against Jean Felipe, 24, of Belo Horizonte.

De Queiroz managed to overpower Felipe. The Sao Paulo native exhibited his fighting his skills on the ground and submitted his opponent from Belo Horizonte in the first round.

Winning at “Brave 25” improved the professional MMA record of de Queiroz to 12 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Felipe now has 4 wins and 2 losses.

Both de Queiroz and Felipe made their Brave CF debut at “Brave 25.” Brazil, South Africa and the Netherlands were represented.

De Queiroz has been competing professionally since 2013. Before joining Brave CF, he competed in Sao Jose Super Fight, Pro Fight MMA, Thunder Fight, Batalha MMA, Paradigma Fight Night, Katana Fight, World Fighting Championship Akhmat and Future Fighting Championships.

The “Brave 25” weigh-ins took place in Belo Horizonte on August 29, 2019. Felipe weighed 60.7kg, which means he would lose 20 percent of his fight purse, while de Queiroz weighed 59.3kg.

In the main event of the evening, Cleiton “Predator” Silva, 33, of Belo Horizonte challenged reigning Brave CF Lightweight World Champion Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. The challenger dethroned the defending champion via submission in the first round.

The co-main event was a bantamweight bout between Felipe Efrain, 25, of Sao Paulo and Matheus Nicolau, 26, of Belo Horizonte. The latter emerged as the victor.
