Kelley Day crowned Miss Eco Philippines 2019 by Maureen Montagne

Actress Kelley Day, 24, was crowned Miss Eco Philippines 2019 on September 15, 2019. She succeeded Miss Eco Philippines 2018 Maureen Montagne, 26, of Batangas, Philippines.

Representing Tarlac City, Tarlac, Day competed in Miss World Philippines 2019 against 39 other candidates. Five other titles were given.

The other newly crowned queens were Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Marquez Dee, 24, of Makati City, Metro Manila, Miss Multinational Philippines Isabelle de Leon , 25,of Quezon City, Metro Manila, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 Maria Katrina Llegado, 21, of Taguig City, Metro Manila, Miss Tourism Philippines 2019 Glyssa Leiann Perez, 24, of Bohol and Miss Teen Eco International Philippines 2019 Vanessa-Mae Walters. Shannon Christie Kerver, 22, of Nueva Ecija and Kristi Celyn “Casie” Banks, 24, of Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila were the respective first and second runners-up.

Aside from the Miss Eco Philippines 2019 title, Day also won two sponsor awards namely Miss Best Skin by Cathy Valencia Advanced Skin Clinic, which she shared with Dee, and Miss Big Chill. During the competition, she wore a gown by Leo Almodal.

Miss World Philippines 2019 is the ninth edition of the national beauty pageant. The coronation night took place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Miss World 2017 quarterfinalist Laura Lehman, 25, and Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez, 27, hosted the Miss World Philippines 2019 coronation night along with actors Victor Basa, 34, and Edgar Allan Guzman, 30. “Malamaya” star Sunshine Cruz, 42, and Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, 44, were among the judges.

Representing the Philippines, Day will represent the Philippines in the sixth edition of Miss Eco International, which will be held in 2020. If she wins, she will be international beauty pageant’s second titleholder from the Philippines.

Cynthia Thomalla, 25, of Cebu, Philippines was crowned Miss Eco International 2018 in Cairo, Egypt on April 27, 2018. On March 29, 2019, Montagne became runner-up to Miss Eco International 2019 Suheyn Cipriani, 23, of Peru.
