Miss World Philippines producer ALV Events International has acquired the Philippines’ official franchise for Miss Supranational. This means Miss World Philippines 2020 will crown seven queens.

ALV Events International is the official franchise holder of Mister Supranational, as well. Mister Supranational Philippines 2019 Denver Hernandez was crowned in Mister World Philippines 2018.

In 2019, Miss World Philippines crowned Michelle Marquez Dee, 25, Maria Katrina Llegado, 22, and Vanessa-Mae Walters, 20, as the respective representatives of the Philippines to Miss World, Reina Hispanoamericana and Miss Teen Eco Philippines. Dee finished in the Top 12 of Miss World 2019, Llegado was Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 fifth runner-up and Walters was dethroned and replaced by Mary Daena Zaide Resurrecion, who finished in the Top 5 of Miss Teen Eco International 2019.

Also crowned in Miss World Philippines 2019 were Miss Eco Philippines 2019 Kelley Day, Miss Multinational Philippines 2019 Isabelle de Leon and Miss Tourism Philippines 2019 Glyssa Leiann Perez. Their international competitions have been postponed due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, Miss World Philippines 2020 will be held in January 2021. The seven winners will be Miss World Philippines 2020, Miss Supranational Philippines 2020, Miss Eco Philippines 2020, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2020, Miss Multinational Philippines 2020, Miss Teen Eco International Philippines 2020 and Miss Tourism Philippines 2020.

Miss Supranational Philippines 2019 Resham Saeed, 26, of Buluan, Maguindanao was crowned in Binibining Pilipinas 2019. She finished in the Top 25 in Miss Supranational 2019 and was one of the four interview winners.

From six crowns, Bb. Pilipinas will crown four queens in its 2020 edition. They will be the Philippines’ representatives to the 2020 editions of Miss International, Miss Grand International, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Globe.

From 1964 to 2019, Bb. Pilipinas crowned the Philippines’ representative to Miss Universe. For Miss Universe 2020, the Philippine representative will be the winner of the inaugural Miss Universe Philippines 2020 to be crowned at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on October 25, 2020.
