The Philippines will play host to a Brave Combat Federation event for the second time. The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion’s 28th event will take place in the home country of reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, who is training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.
Brave CF has yet to announce the specific venue for “Brave 28.” But it has announced that its second event in the Philippines is set on October 25, 2019.
There are still no details about the “Brave 28” fight card. However, the Brave CF fans in the Philippines are expecting Loman to defend his belt in the main event.
On March 15, 2019, Brave CF made its Philippine debut with “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The fight card featured nine MMA bouts.
In the main event, Loman defended his Brave CF Bantamweight Championship belt from former Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France. The challenger, who is of French and Algerian descent, was knocked out by the Filipino defending champion.
This made Loman the Brave CF champion with the most successful defenses. On November 17, 2017, he became the inaugural champion of the promotion’s bantamweight division by defeating Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat, 32, at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.
On June 9, 2018, Loman retained his title by defeating Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 28, of Ireland in a rematch at “Brave 13: European Evolution” in Belfast, Northern Ireland. On November 16, 2018, Felipe Efrain, 24, of Brazil failed to dethrone Loman at “Brave 18: Bahrain” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena.
Recently, several Brave CF fighters have expressed their interest in challenging Loman. Among them are Matheus Nicolau, 26, of Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Cameron “Killa Cam” Else, 28, of Margate, Kent, England.
“Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” was graced by Mohammed “The Hawk” Shahid, 30, of Bahrain. Brave CF fans were also able to see color commentator Kirik Jenness, 59, commentator Phil Campbell and cage announcer Carlos Kremer.
Also training out of Team Lakay, Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22, Jon Chris “Happy Feet” Corton, 26, Jomar Pa-ac, 21, and Harold “The Artist” Banario, 24, are also signed with Brave CF. Here are the Filipino fighters in a press conference prior to the “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” fight night:
