Indonesian actor Randy Pangalila is now a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt. Train out of Warrior Fight Camp Jakarta, he recently earned his second victory as a professional mixed martial artist.

On October 26, 2019, Pangalila fought his fellow actor Adhi Pawitra, who trains at Livre Brotherman Bandung, in the One Pride Pro Never Quit cage. Carrying the theme of “Battle of the Pride,” the combat sports event took place at Mahaka Square Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia.

“One Pride MMA Fight Night 33: Battle of the Pride” had four mixed martial arts matches on the main card. In the co-main event of the evening, Pangalila and Pawitra battled it out in the featherweight division.

From the start, Pangalila controlled the game with his powerful low kicks while denying Pawitra any chance to recover. As the fight progressed, the Livre Brotherman Bandung representative was clearly hurt and was no longer able to stand, forcing the referee to stop the fight and award the Warrior Fight Camp Jakarta athlete with the technical knockout win on 3:47 of the first round.

“Our preparation for this fight is much tougher than usual,” Pangalila stated. “It was a very rigorous training session every day for a month without any day offs. I did that because I don’t want to underestimate my opponent.”

“For sure, I definitely cannot underestimate his ground game,” Pangalila said of Pawitra. “I faced a number of injuries, even had to be assisted by the medical team 5 minutes before going to the Arena that require medical attention. My utmost respect to Adhi who didn’t pull out after the fight was postponed.”

Winning at “One Pride MMA Fight Night 33: Battle of the Pride” improved the professional MMA record of Pangalila to 2 wins and 0 loss. After this, he was awarded his BJJ blue belt from his coach Max Metino.

“I want to thank One Pride because One Pride is a leading sporting event in Indonesia,” Pangalila said. “One Pride has given me a place to contribute as a fighter at this event.”
