Jon Chris “Happy Feet” Corton, 26, of the Philippines was supposed to co-headline “BRAVE CF 31,” making him the first ever Filipino mixed martial artist to ever compete in a professional MMA bout in South Africa. However, he had to pull out from the card due to visa issues.

BRAVE Combat Federation will hold “BRAVE CF 31” at the Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa on December 7, 2019. Training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, Corton was supposed to fight Dansheel “Mamu” Moodley, 27, of Durban in the co-main event.

Replacing Corton is Anton “Crazy Thai” Larsson, 29, of Umeå, Sweden. Known for his wild fighting style, the Swedish MMA fighter brings a different flavor to the fight card as he will look to exploit the difference between Corton’s style and his own and get a winning debut on short notice.

For Moodley, the change means less weight to cut since both camps have agreed that. Due to shortness of time, a catch weight of 128lbs (58kg) will be in place for the special feature bout.

“BRAVE CF 31” marks Larsson’s BRAVE CF debut. In the main event, Chad “Superman” Hanekom, 27, of Sunninghill, South Africa and Daniel “Gaúcho” Souza Pereira, 28, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil will compete for the inaugural BRAVE CF Middleweight World Championship title.

Larsson currently holds a professional MMA record of 3 wins and 5 losses. On the other hand, Moodley has 5 wins and 2 losses.

Born in Durban, South Africa on June 19, 1991, Moodley has been competing professionally since 2016. He competed in the European Fighting Championship Worldwide before joining BRAVE CF.
