Representing Algeria by way of France, Adam Noi, 20, has earned his first victory in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series. The Algerian-French martial artist was one of the winners at “ONE: A New Tomorrow.”

Featuring six MMA matches, five Muay Thai contests and one kickboxing bout, ONE Championship held “ONE: A New Tomorrow” at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on January 10, 2020. In the fifth bout of the evening, Noi competed in a kickboxing contest in the bantamweight division against Victor “Leo” Pinto, 26, of France.

Olivier Coste served as the referee. In the first round, Noi shocked Pinto.

Noi caught Pinto with a question mark kick that put the latter on the canvas. However, the French kickboxer beat the count and was back on his feet to end the frame.

Action continued in the second round, with both men going back and forth with powerful combinations. The third round was again close as the two warriors traded strikes at the center of the ONE Championship ring.

Pinto showed great defense. But Noi’s attacks were on point.

After three three-minute rounds, the bantamweight contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Coste raised the hand of Noi, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “ONE: A New Tomorrow” improved the professional kickboxing record of Noi to 44 wins and 6 losses. On the other hand, Pinto now has a professional Muay Thai and kickboxing record of 76 wins and 30 losses.

Including Algeria and France, 15 countries were represented at “ONE: A New Tomorrow.” The other countries were Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Russia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.

In the main event of the evening, Jonathan “The General” Haggerty, 22, of the United Kingdom failed to dethrone reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion “The Iron Man” Rodtang Jitmuangnon, 22, of Thailand. It was a rematch between the two ONE Super Series stars.

“ONE: A New Tomorrow” was the first ONE Championship event to take place in 2020. Here is a recap:
