Chad “Superman” Hanekom, 27, of Sunninghill, South Africa will face Enrico “The Killing Machine” Cortese, 22, of Gallio, Vicenza, Italy at “BRAVE CF 36.” The South African mixed martial arts star will look to bounce back from the loss against BRAVE Combat Federation Middleweight World Champion Daniel “Gaúcho” Souza Pereira, 28, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.
On December 7, 2019, Hanekom and Souza competed for the inaugural BRAVE CF Middleweight World Championship title in the main event of “BRAVE CF 31,” which took place at the Sibaya Casino in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. The Brazilian contender knocked out his South African opponent in the second round.
Training out of Coach Quan University in Johannesburg, South Africa, Hanekom is one of the rising stars from South Africa. He holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 1 loss.
Promoted in partnership with local MMA powerhouse RFX, “BRAVE CF 36” will take place in Romania on April 13, 2020 making it the second BRAVE CF event to take place in the Eastern European country. It marks the fifth BRAVE CF bout of Hanekom, who currently has 2 wins and 2 losses in the promotion.
On the other hand, “BRAVE CF 36” marks Cortese’s second BRAVE CF bout. He currently has 6 wins and 2 losses.
