Sam “The Future” Patterson, 23, of London, England, United Kingdom is the latest mixed martial artist to sign an extension deal with BRAVE Combat Federation. He is expected to have multiple fights under the Bahrain-based MMA promotion.
“I’m fighting for one of the biggest organizations in the world in BRAVE Combat Federation,” Patterson stated. “I can’t thank enough for what they’ve done for my career. I can’t wait for my next fight. See you soon, BRAVE Nation.”
In 2019, Patterson blossomed into one of the biggest prospects in England. At “BRAVE CF 33,” he was able to put on his finest performance yet against Muay Thai champion Cian “The Warrior” Cowley, 23, of Ireland.
“BRAVE CF 33” took place at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 27, 2019. There, Patterson surprised the world of MMA as he dominated Cowley on the stand-up before submitting the tough Irishman in the third round with a guillotine choke.
It was a much awaited first victory for Patterson at BRAVE CF after going the distance in a back-and-forth bout against Ahmed “The Butcher” Amir, 28, of Giza, Egypt at “Brave CF 23: Pride and Honor” at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan on April 19, 2019. The bout ended in a draw.
The win against Cowley propelled Patterson to the main event spot against John “The Trouble” Brewin, 25, of Auckland, New Zealand “BRAVE CF 36.” It was originally scheduled to take place in Cluj Napoca, Romania on April 13, 2020 but it was postponed due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Recently, BRAVE CF has been taking the necessary cautions and is getting back to holding shows. Patterson hopes to start off his new deal with the company with a big-name opponent and another win.
BRAVE CF has confirmed that its first post-COVID-19 event will take place in Romania. There are still no details about the specific venue and the exact date but officials from the promotion confirmed that the fight night will take place in a closed-doors arena.
