World Kickboxing Network postpones Germany, France, Latvia, Guadaloupe, Argentina, Scotland events due to coronavirus

Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the World Kickboxing Network events scheduled for March 2020 and April 2020 have been postponed. The health and safety of competitors, spectators, officials and everyone involved are the top priorities of the professional kickboxing organization.

Stephane Cabrera serves as the president of the WKN. He co-founded the organization with Olivier Muller and Billy Murray in October 1994 in France.

As of March 14, 2020, France has 4,499 confirmed coronavirus cases and 91 deaths. Here is the list of postponed WKN events:

March 14, 2020

  • “Fighting Rookies 5” in Halle (Salle), Germany
  • “Boxing Fighters System 2” in Nimes, France

April 4, 2020

April 5, 2020

  • “Estrellas de Acero 6” in Portela, Buenos Aires, Argentina

April 18, 2020

  • “El Gran Desafio: Maidana vs Cali” in Villa Martelli, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina

April 25, 2020

  • “Against the Ropes 2 Fight Night” in Fraserburgh, Scotland


The WKN will announce new dates soon. Meanwhile, here are some highlights of “Villejuif Boxing Show 2” featuring three WKN title bouts at at Espace congres les Esselieres in Villejuif, France on March 7, 2020:
