Amid the ongoing global spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), BRAVE Combat Federation has initiated an international social media awareness campaign to help minimize the spread of the virus under the KHK Heroes Foundation. Days before this, the mixed martial arts promotion postponed three upcoming events.

Headquartered in Seef District, Bahrain, BRAVE CF is the first MMA organization in the world to launch an international campaign to raise awareness and halt the spread of COVID-19. With the hashtags #UnitedWeFight and #BRAVECombatsCovid19, the campaign was executed with the support of the promotion’s world champions and fighters.

With the global digital reach of BRAVE CF, fighters from all continents and fans from all over the world, BRAVE CF has a strong message for the world. Now is the time to unite and fight against the spread of the coronavirus by following official news sources only, taking preventive and precautionary measures issued by the World Health Organization, checking in on family and friends and above all, staying calm and united with compassion for one another.

Due to the worsening COVID-19 outbreak around the world, BRAVE CF officially confirmed on March 16, 2020 the postponement of BRAVE CF 35,” “BRAVE CF 36” and “BRAVE CF 37.″ The three events were supposed to take place in Balneário Camboriú,  Santa Catarina, Brazil on March 28, 2020, in Bucharest, Romania on April 13, 2020 and at Solnahallen in Stockholm, Sweden on April 18, 2020, respectively.

“Because of the nature of this situation, we are not aware of what will happen in the coming months and we will be taking things step by step,” BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid stated. “BRAVE CF will be keeping a close eye on all developments, as well as taking the advice of the World Health Organization and the local government authorities. That includes our show in Balneário Camboriú, on March 28th, and our events in Romania and Sweden.”

“Our job is to put on events and entertain the people,” Shahid continued. “Fighters, managers, and trainers have a job to do, but this is a global issue, a world problem, and these are the priorities.”
