Frank Warren, 68, of England is one of the leaders in the boxing industry who reacted to the announcement about the pioneering boxing summit Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa (KHK) Sports and MTK Global will host in Bahrain this autumn. The Queensberry Promotions founder and Hall of Fame promoter is optimistic about the doors this event will open.
“I am delighted to hear Bahrain will be entering into the boxing marketplace,” Warren said. “It is great news for our sport.”
KHK Sports is a vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, 30, of Bahrain. He is his home country’s first deputy president of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the Bahrain Olympic Committee president and the BRAVE Combat Federation founder.
Prior to the announcement of the boxing summit, KHK Sports appointed MTK Global co-founder Daniel Kinahan, 42, of Ireland as a special advisor. He has been instrumental in securing some of the biggest global events in the sport and as advisor for Top Rank in the MENA region, he has expertise and connections that will strengthen the KHK Sports brand and immediately expand its international reach.
“Through the effort, support and vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the team at KHK Sports and their advisor Daniel Kinahan, this will create fantastic opportunities for boxing and boxers,” the Queensberry Promotions founder said. “We look forward to working with everyone in the sport on this exciting new venture.”
Both Kinahan and MTK Global president Bob Yalen, 62, of the U.S. are excited about the upcoming events. The latter said, “MTK Global has always prided itself on its great working relationship with all the leading promoters, managers and leaders in the sport.”
Kinahan is honored to work with Al Khalifa, Shahid and the entire the team at KHK Sports. The MTK Global co-founder said, “KHK Sports has made an impressive mark on the world of combat sports and has fantastic ambitions to grow into a global powerhouse.”
