“I’m very excited to announce that MTK Global and I are now working together,” Diaz said. “As a professional athlete it is very crucial to have a team looking out for my best interests and I am proud to have MTK a part of it, with now being the most important time of my career. MTK has done a great job with some big names in the boxing world and as a champion it is essential to maximize opportunities both inside and outside the ring.”

Diaz joins fellow American superstars Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson, 24, of Baltimore, Maryland, USA and Jonathan “Geo Don” Lopez, 17, of Puerto Rico by signing with MTK Global in the past week, making it another big sign of things to come stateside. The Californian boxer has looked sensational throughout his professional career.

“I’m looking forward to the next few years with MTK and I will continue to prove what I’m about,” Diaz said. “Most importantly, I want to thank God for blessing me with everything I am and what I stand for.”

In Diaz’s last outing, which was on January 30, 2020, he claimed the IBF super-featherweight title with a fantastic victory over Tevin Farmer, 30, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. In 2018, the Californian boxer earned the World Boxing Association featherweight title following a superb win over Jesus M. Rojas, 33, of Puerto Rico.

“We are honored to welcome a boxing superstar in two-weight world champion JoJo Diaz to the team,” MTK Global CEO Bob Yalen stated. “His amazing record speaks for itself and he’s one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world so to have him sign with MTK Global is a massive statement of intent in terms of our expansion into America.”

“He’s already won world titles at two weights and currently holds the IBF super-featherweight belt and we’re determined to help him build on that great success,” Yalen said of Diaz. “His action-packed style means he is guaranteed to provide fireworks every time he steps through the ropes and we’re proud to see how his amazing career unfolds.”
