Amir Khan earns 13th ONE Championship win, knocks out Rahul Raju in Singapore

Amir Khan, 25, of Singapore was one of the winners at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties.” Training out of Evolve MMA, he earned his third victory in the Singapore-based martial arts organization ONE Championship.

Featuring five mixed martial arts matches and one Muay Thai title bout, “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” is a closed-door event held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on October 9, 2020. In the fourth bout of the evening, Khan fought Rahul “The Kerala Krusher” Raju, 28, of India in an MMA contest in the lightweight division.

 

Mohamad Sulaiman served as the referee. He put a stop to the lightweight contest after 4 minutes and 47 seconds in the first round.

Khan knocked out Raju via punches. It was the ninth time the Singaporean MMA fighter knocked out his opponent inside the ONE Championship cage.

Winning at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” improved the professional MMA record of Khan to 13 wins and 7 losses. On the other hand, Raju now has 7 wins and 5 losses.

 

Khan has been competing in ONE Championship since 2014. The first 12 opponents he defeated in the promotion were Jian Kai Chee, Waqar Umar, Bashir Ahmad, Jimmy Yabo, John Chang, Vaughn Donayre, Rajinder Singh Meena, Jaroslav Jartim, Adrian Pang, Sung Jong Lee, Honorio Banario and Ev Ting.

“ONE: Reign of Dynasties” marked Khan’s 19th outing in ONE Championship. It was the Evolve MMA product’s 20th professional MMA bout.

Eight countries were represented at “ONE: Reign of Dynasties” namely Australia, China, Finland, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Khan solely represented Singapore while Raju represented India with Roshan Mainam, 24.
