BRAVE Combat Federation is set to make history in Russia, which is home to some of the top mixed martial artists including Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov. The Bahrain-based MMA promotion will land in Sochi, Russia for a historic night of fights on January 16, 2021.

Founded by His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BRAVE CF has rapidly expanded around the globe, going to South America, North America, Europe, Indian Subcontinent, Central Asia and Southeast Asia. It is the first and only international promotion to host an MMA event in Africa.

BRAVE CF will enter Russia in partnership with Krepost Fight Club Selection, which is based in Moscow, Russia. The collaboration that will shake the entire MMA scene in the continent-sized country and hotbed to some of the toughest fighters on the planet.

One of the most traditional territories in MMA today, Russia is set to become another conquered territory by BRAVE CF. The momentous announcement was made as the organization prepares for another huge event in its home in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Founded on September 23, 2016, BRAVE CF has long developed a special interest in developing the Russian MMA scene with several athletes from the country being under contract. Top fighters such as BRAVE CF Flyweight tournament semifinalist  Velimurad Alkhasov, bantamweight athlete Kasum Kasumov, middleweight contender Ikram Aliskerov and Bahraini-Russian BRAVE CF Super Lightweight World Champion Eldar Eldarov have thrived and become international stars in the promotion.

Moreover, Russia boasts the talents of KHK Dagestan, which was founded by His Highness Shaikh Khaled to maximize opportunities for young fighters in the area. The fight card for the anticipated debut of BRAVE CF in Russian soil will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks with fighters from around the globe eagerly awaiting for the call to compete in a country that has become synonymous with MMA in the past few years.

One of the top MMA fighters who previously competed in BRAVE CF is Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev, who now competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the welterweight and middleweight divisions. He was born in Chechnya, Russia and is fighting out of Stockholm, Sweden.
