The United States presidential picks of Chuck Norris, 80, were Mike Huckabee, 65, in 2008 and Donald Trump, 74, in 2016. The martial artist and Hollywood actor even wrote an op-ed titled “The People Have Spoken” for WND about this.
According to Norris, he met Trump in 1974 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California, USA. At the time, the actor was retiring as the World Marital Arts Champion.
On January 6, 2021, a man named Matt Bledsoe participated in the riot at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., USA. He posted a photo of himself with a fellow rioter who happens to look like Norris.
The photo went viral some internet sleuths thought the man beside Bledsoe in the photo was actually Norris. However, the actor was in Texas, USA on January 6, 2021, according to his Erik Kritzer.
“This is not Chuck Norris and is a wanna be look alike although Chuck is much more handsome,” Kritzer told USA Today. “Chuck remains on his range in Texas where he has been with his family.”
Norris is a father of five. He was married to Dianne Holechek from 1958 to 1989 and has been married to Gena O’Kelley since 1998.
Born in Ryan, Oklahoma, USA in 1940, Norris served in the U.S. Air Force before winning many martial arts championships and founding his own discipline Chun Kuk Do. He is a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu, judo and Tang Soo Do.
From 1993 to 2001, Norris played Cordell Walker / Hayes Cooper in the television series “Walker, Texas Ranger.” He played Sgt. Major Phillips in “Hawaii Five-0” Season 10 episode 21, which aired on March 27, 2020.
The most recent film Norris starred in was “The Expendables 2,” in which he played Booker. Released on August 17, 2012, the action film also starred Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Randy Couture and Liam Hemsworth.
