Burak Hezar, 20, of Allen, Collin County, Texas, United States was recently arrested by the Allen Police Department. He was charged with capital murder.

Hezar is accused of fatally stabbing his mother Isil Borat, 51, and his younger sister Burcu Hezar, 17, in their home on Nueces Drive in Allen on the morning of April 25, 2021. Burak was identified as the suspect by his stepfather, whose name was not released.

“The stepfather came home,” CBS DFW quoted Allen Police Department’s Sergeant Jon Felty as saying. The police sergeant added that the stepfather and Burak “were there together for a period of time.”

“Then the stepfather discovers that there’s a problem, that a crime has occurred and he apparently, they had words,” Felty continued. “The stepfather makes his way out of the house to summon police.”

When Allen Police Department officers arrived at the home just before 9:15 a.m., Burak was no longer there. Investigators in Allen worked throughout the day to locate him and later enlisted the help of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW Airport) Police.

According to Felty, Burak went to the DFW Airport through rideshare vehicles. Burak had a ticket to San Francisco, California, USA, where his biological father lives, but later abandoned the idea to get on the plane.

While still at the DFW Airport, Burak went to different car rental locations but he could not rent a vehicle. DFW Airport Police officers later found him at the airport and arrested him.

Burak was booked into the Collin County Jail in McKinney, Collin County. His bond was set at $2 million.

Burcu was a student at Allen High School. Authorities have yet to determine why she and her mother were fatally stabbed by the suspect.

The house of the victims and the suspect is near the Twin Creeks Golf Club in Allen. The club is home to the award-winning Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course.
