Emmanuelle Vera, 26, of Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines is Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2021. She was crowned during the Miss World Philippines 2021 coronation night in Olongapo City, Philippines on October 3, 2021.
The Miss World Philippines 2021 coronation night was held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in the Subic Special Economic and Freeport Zone in Olongapo City. It was the 10th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Philippines’ candidates for Miss World, Reina Hispanoamericana and other international beauty pageants.
Vera is a singer, a songwriter and an actress. In 2012, Universal Records Philippines released her self-titled debut album and in 2013, she competed at “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 1 and made it to apl.de.ap‘s team but she was eliminated during the battle round.
In 2016, Vera, Klarisse de Guzman and Liezel Garcia competed in “We Love OPM” as a group called O Diva and finished third. In 2019, she starred in “Kaibigan” with Jesse Perkins, Christian Perkins and Stephen Baldwin.
On October 30, 2021, Vera will represent the Philippines at Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. If she wins, the will be the Bolivia-based international beauty pageant’s second titleholder from the Philippines following Teresita “Winwyn” Marquez‘s coronation in 2017.
Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018 Alyssa Muhlach, 25, hosted the ceremony along with Mister World Asia and Oceania 2019 Jody Baines “JB” Saliba, 28, Xian Lim, 32, and RJ Ledesma. It was broadcast live by KTX.
It was Tracy Maureen Perez, 28, of Cebu City who won the Miss World Philippines 2021 crown. Including her and Vera, 44 candidates competed for seven titles.
The other winners were Miss Eco Philippines 2021 Kathleen Joy Paton, 24, of Aklan, Philippines, Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2021 Tatyana Alexi Austria, 18, of Parañaque City, Miss Environment Philippines 2021 Michelle Arceo, 23, of Quezon City, Miss Multinational Philippines 2021 Shaila Mae Rebortera, 25, of Cebu and Miss Tourism Philippines 2021 Trisha Martinez, 23, of Laguna. There were 16 judges including Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., 55, Harry Roque, 54, Teejay Marquez, 28, David Licauco, 27, Elise Joson, 25, and Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, 52, who served as the chairman of the board of judges.
“Is it true that all is fair in love and war and why?” Revilla asked Vera in the question-and-answer portion. She answered, “I believe that in love and in war alike that we should always prioritize empathy and the well-being of other people.”
“So all is not fair if we are stepping on other people’s toes or if we are acting in selfishness and vacant seat,” Vera continued. “The only way to approach any situation at the optimum levels and to its utmost is if we consider the needs of our fellowmen above our own and we live to love and serve them and walk in compassion at all times.”
