  1. Hello, he was resisting arrest, Period. He deserved to be arrested. He had an outstanding warrant for gun possesion, fleeing police and failure to appear. If he just took the arrest like a man, that dumb cop wouldn’t have grabbed the gun instead of the taser. Bottom line, when you resist arrest, the situation escalates and it ends badly, sometimes for the perp and sometimes for cops. His lazy mother should have got the car registered and insured before giving him the car. He couldn’t do it because it would pop up he had outstanding warrant. Duh.

  2. This young man was on the wrong path. Instead of a car, his mom should have given him a lecture as she drove him to the courthouse, to turn himself in. A good clean kid, on the path to a successful adult life, isn’t packing a gun, (let alone an illegal 45), isn’t skipping out on his court date, isn’t hiding out from the law, and doesn’t wrestle with the police during a traffic stop.
This young man was heading down a dark path prior to this fatal encounter with the police. Someone wasn’t successful at the job of parenting, or the kid just wouldn’t be deterred. It’s a sad ending for this family.
In the end, they’ll make the kid out to be a paragon of virtue, and the police to be evil racists. Neither will be true.

  3. This is all so very heartbreakingly sad & truly tragic…!!!
Sincere condolences to the family & his baby son that another beautiful, precious Black prince was murdered by yet another racist, trigger-happy cop! 😥

    • Interestingly there is nothing in the article about how he shot a 16 year old in the head causing permanent disabilities. Nor does it say how Mr Wright held a woman up with a gun and stuck his hand down her bra. Likewise, not a dang word about how just weeks before his death he car-jacked a man and shot him in the Leg. Yup, just a precious, sweet boy!
