  6. In September 2021, he finished his active duty as a U.S. Marine Corps sergeant. Among his awards were the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
  7. On March 19, 2022, he was in Boston, Massachusetts, USA to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with friends, including a fellow U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He spent time inside Sons of Boston, a bar on Union Street in Boston, without incident and left but when he got back in line to return to the bar with a friend, they were denied entry. Shortly before 7:00 p.m., he was stabbed outside of the bar allegedly by Alvaro Omar Larrama, then 39, of East Boston, Boston. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
  8. Just before 3:00 a.m. on March 20, 2022, he was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital. He died of a single stab wound to the right part of his chest.
  9. He died at the age of 23.
  10. “This is the last shirt he wore before his trip and I’ve been wearing it because it still has his cologne and it just, it gives me comfort, and his car, it’s sitting in my garage,” ABC Chicago quoted his mother as saying on March 22, 2022.
