Miss West Virginia USA 2021 Alexis Bland, 23, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, United States will crown her successor at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, Upshur County, West Virginia on June 5, 2022. It is the 71st edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects West Virginia’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate from the U.S.

Currently, West Virginia has 10 Miss USA placements including the first runner-up finishes of Ruth Parr in 1957 and Kelly Anderson in 1984. The most recent one was in 2016 when Nichole Greene finished in the Top 15.

Bland was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2021 at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts on July 11, 2021. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Krystian Leonard of Morgantown, Tamia Hardy of Berkeley County, Lacy Russell of Three Rivers Festival and Dominique Collins of Normantown.
