BRAVE CF 60” will be headlined by two Brazilian mixed martial artists. It is the fifth BRAVE Combat Federation event to be held in Brazil.

So far, eight bouts are confirmed to be on the card of “BRAVE CF 60”, which will be held at the Goiânia Arena in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil on July 30, 2022. In the main event of the evening, Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 33, of  Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil and Henrique Marques, 30, of Trindade, Goias, Brazil will battle it out in the lightweight division.

Martins was scheduled to take on Amin “Fierceness” Ayoub, 26, Nantes, France. However, the latter was forced to pull out due to injury and was replaced by Marques.

Both Martins and Ayoub are former BRAVE CF Lightweight World Championship holders. The Brazilian MMA fighter held the title from April 13, 2018 to November 2018 and the French MMA fighter held it from November 5, 2020 to September 25, 2021.

After three consecutive losses in BRAVE CF, Martins is in search of redemption. He is a staple of MMA in Brazil but he might not have the support of the crowd at “BRAVE CF 60” in Goiânia, where Marques was born.

Currently, Marques holds a professional MMA record of 8 wins and 1 loss. Martins has 20 wins and 6 losses.

Marques will make his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 60”. He was undefeated from 2013 to 2018, went on hiatus from 2019 to 2021 then lost to Fabricio “Saci” Soares, 30, of Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina, Brazil at “Brazilian Fighting Series 5” at Thunder Fight Center in Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo on February 6, 2022.

When Martins made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 3” on March 18, 2017 at Max Rosenmann Sports and Leisure Gymnasium in Sao Jose dos Pinhais, Parana, Brazil on March 18, 2017, he submitted Fabian Galvan, 40, of Monterrey, Nueva Leon, Mexico via brabo choke. On April 13, 2018, Martins defeated Luan “Miau” Santiago, 27, of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil via technical knockout via arm injury at “BRAVE CF 11” in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
