Miss Russia 2019 Alina Sanko, 23, of Azov, Russia will crown her successor in Moscow, Russia on July 25, 2022. It is the 28th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Russia’s Miss Universe candidate.

Currently, Russia has eight Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Oxana Fedorova in 2002; however, she was later dethroned. The most recent one was in 2012 when Elizaveta Golovanova finished in the Top 10.

On April 13, 2019, Alina Sanko of Azov, Russia was crowned Miss Russia 2019 in Barvikha Luxury Village, Moscow. Arina Verina, 24, of Yekaterinburg, Russia and Ralina Arabova, 23, of Tatarstan, Russia were the respective first and second runners-up.

Miss Russia was not held in 2020 and in 2021 due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Russia was represented by Sanko at Miss World 2019 and Miss Universe 2020 and by Arabova at Miss Universe 2021.

Russia currently has 13 Miss World placements including the coronation of Julia Kourotchina in 1992 and Ksenia Sukhinova in 2008. Sanko finished in the Top 12 in 2019.
