Mai Omar, 34, of Egypt will be in Bahrain soon. The Egyptian actress will serve as one of the judges at Miss Universe Bahrain 2022.

Omar has been acting professionally since 2013. She went on to star in several television series including “The Legend” in 2016, “The Ghosts of Adly Allam” in 2017 and “Weld Al Ghalabah” in 2019.

In 2020, Omar starred in the TV series “Al Futua” and “Loaloa“. In 2021, she played Galila in the TV series “Outsider Bloodline“, which also starred Amir Karara as Ghufran El Gharib and Ahmed Malek as Haza.

The Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 coronation night will be held on August 26, 2022. The venue has yet to be announced.

Reigning Miss Universe Bahrain 2021 Manar Nadeem “Jess” Deyani, 26, will crown her successor at the event of the ceremony. The results will not be made public until the broadcast of the show on September 11, 2022.

This is first edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Bahrain’s Miss Universe candidate. There are still no details about the candidates who will compete for the crown.

In November 2021, Deyani was appointed as Bahrain’s Miss Universe 2021 candidate. At the time, she was on her last semester of her bachelor’s degree in fashion design at the American University in the Emirates in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

On December 12, 2021, Deyani became the first person to represent Bahrain in Miss Universe. The Bahraini model, who is 5’1″ tall, also became the shortest Miss Universe candidate in history.

When Deyani competed against 79 other Miss Universe 2021 candidates in Eilat, Israel, she was the only candidate who wore a burkini in the preliminary competition’s swimsuit round, another first in the competition’s history. While she was ultimately unplaced, she left Israel with her head held high as a beauty pageant trailblazer.

Joining Miss Universe Bahrain president and national director Josh Yugen in the organization’s official council are creative director Furne Amato, culture, tourism and arts head Dr. Sara Almadani, charity and philanthropy head Afaf Meky, empowerment head Kylie Versoza and partnerships and business development head Ian Borromeo. In the creative council are fashion director Harlet Liu, beauty director Vimi Joshi and show director Kevin Oliver.

The whole global beauty pageant community is excited to welcome the queen who will represent Bahrain at Miss Universe 2022. As of August 12, 2022, 44 candidates have been confirmed to compete in the international beauty pageant’s 71st edition.
