Colorado Springs’ Anderson Lee Aldrich isn’t Goode, Virginia’s Landen Christopher Glass

The Colorado Springs Police Department has yet to release the mugshot of Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. However, several social media posts are incorrectly using the mugshot of Landen Christopher Glass, 20, of Goode, Virginia, USA as that of Aldrich.

Anderson Lee Aldrich

Aldrich has no public social media account. His mother Laura Voepel, 45, is a Tek Experts support engineer and his grandfather Randy Greg Voepel, 72, is a former mayor of Santee, California, USA and a former California assemblyman.

On June 18, 2021, Laura called the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office to report that Aldrich was threatening to cause harm to her with a homemade bomb, multiple weapons and ammunition. He was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail in El Paso, El Paso County but no formal charges were pursued in the case.

At 9:00 p.m. on November 19, 2022, a drag show started in Club Q in Colorado Springs. Just before midnight, Aldrich entered the club and used a long rifle to open fire, killing five people and wounding 25 others.

Patrons Richard Fierro, 45, and Thomas James stopped and disarmed Aldrich. At 12:02 a.m. on November 20, 2022, a Colorado Springs Police Department officer took Aldrich into custody. 


Landen Christopher Glass

On the morning of November 19, 2022, Glass was involved in an accident while he was driving a truck in a Christmas parade in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The truck was pulling a float that was in the parade behind girls with the CC & Co. Dance Complex

Three people occupied the truck, which towed a float with several participants. At 10:14 a.m., Glass lost control near the intersection of Hillsborough Street at Boylan Avenue in Raleigh.

Travelling at a low rate of speed, Glass’s truck fatally struck a girl, 11. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, careless and reckless, improper equipment, unsafe movement and carrying a firearm in a parade. 

Glass was issued a $4,000 secured bond. His court date would be scheduled for January 26, 2023 if he bonds out.
