“The Reaper” Sedriques Dumas, 27, of Pensacola, Florida, United States is set to make his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The undefeated mixed martial artist is 6’3″ tall and he competes in the middleweight division.
As an amateur MMA fighter, Dumas defeated Jeremiah Hunter, Jaylin Castillo, Cody Herbert and Gabriel Henson in 2018 and Moises Carrasco, Ezekiel Jackson, Mike Lee and Heath Herndon in 2019. In Dumas’s last amateur MMA fight, which was on August 8, 2020, he defeated Shlomo Boyd.
On September 24, 2020, Dumas made his professional MMA debut at “iKon Fighting Federation 1” where he submitted Clarence Brown via rear-naked choke. In 2021, Dumas defeated three opponents namely DeMarcus Kemp, Lance Thompson and Mario Mancillas.
Dumas knocked out DeWitt Dixon via head kick at “iKon Fighting Championship 1” on January 21, 2022 and defeated Aaron Highbaugh via unanimous decision at “iKon Fighting Championship 2” on March 18, 2022. On August 30, 2022, Dumas submitted Matej Penaz via guillotine choke at “Dana White’s Contender Series 2022” Week 6.
On March 11, 2023, Dumas will make his UFC debut at “UFC Fight Night 221” at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Paradise, Nevada. Also known as “UFC on ESPN+ 79”, the event will feature 13 MMA matches.
In the sixth bout of the evening, Dumas will face Josh Fremd, 29, of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, USA in the middleweight division. It will be Fremd’s third UFC fight.
While Dumas is entering the UFC octagon as an undefeated MMA fighter, Fremd is coming out of two consecutive losses. The contender from Connellsville lost to Anthony Fernandez via unanimous decision at “UFC 273” on April 9, 2022 and to Tresean Gore via technical submission via guillotine choke at “UFC Fight Night 213” on October 29, 2022.
