Body of Manhattan, New York City tattoo artist Drexyll Tolstoy found 6 months after he went missing

Drexyll Tolstoy of the Upper West Side, New York City, New York, United States has died. He was 26 and the cause of his death has yet to be determined.

Tolstoy worked as a tattoo artist at Black Fish Tattoo in Manhattan, New York City. He is the only child of Kellie Tolstoy of Detroit, Michigan, USA and the stepson of Thomas Campbell.

In 2012, Drexyll started dating Kristin Gonzalez. In 2018, he started being under treatment for depression.

At around 6:00 p.m. on September 25, 2022, Drexyll left his job at Black Fish Tattoo. According to Gonzalez, she spoke to him at around 9:00 p.m. and he was going to see the film “Bullet Train“.

However, there was no showing of that film at that time, according to the New York City Police Department. At around 9:30 p.m., Kellie called Drexyll to check how he was adjusting to new psychiatric medication.

On September 26, 2022, Drexyll did not report to work. Later that day, Gonzalez reported him missing.

Drexyll had tattoos up and down both his arms and on his fingers. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie with the words “Yung, Lean and Sad Boys.”

“Drexyll – I love you + am so proud of you!!” read a tattoo on the left side of Drexyll’s neck. “Love – Mom.”

On April 3, 2023, New York City Police Department officers found the decomposed body of Drexyll in the rear of a 17-story commercial building that houses Black Fish Tattoo. On April 5, 2023, the officers told Kellie that her son’s body had been found.
