The police department of Lake Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, United States and the Human Trafficking Task Force of Homeland Security Investigations conducted Operation April Fools from April 11-12, 2023. The operation targeted suspects seeking to engage in prostitution in the city.

It marked the first time such an operation took place in Lake Worth. Recently, similar operations were conducted in other parts of Texas including Frisco, Plano and Southlake.

As part of Operation April Fools, undercover officers posed as escorts and prostitutes online. A total of 41 men and one woman were arrested after responding and arriving in person to meet up with the fake escorts.

The officers also recovered $15,000 in cash, 4 pounds of drugs, four firearms and six fake license plates. None of the arrestees lived in Lake Worth and some of them were wanted for other crimes, including solicitation of a minor and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The 42 arrestees were each charged with solicitation of prostitution. Here is the list:
