North Richland Hills, Texas’s Ronnie Isham, Dontrell Amie, Silvan Kasmikha arrested in Lake Worth

Ronnie Earl Isham, 67, Dontrell Amie, 42, and Silvan Kasmikha, 31, are residents of North Richland Hills, Tarrant County, Texas, United States. They were recently arrested by the police department of Lake Worth, Tarrant County and Homeland Security Investigations.

Aside from North Richland Hills, Amie has lived in other parts of Texas including Arlington, Carrolton, Denton, Fort Worth and Lewisville. Isham previously lived in Azle, Texas and Spring Hill, Kansas, USA while Kasmikha previously lived in Michigan, USA particularly in Rochester, Troy and Shelby Township.

From April 11-12, 2023, the HSI’s Human Trafficking Task Force and the Lake Worth Police Department conducted Operation April Fools. The operation targeted suspects seeking to engage in prostitution in Lake Worth.

As part of the counter human trafficking and demand reduction operation, undercover officers posed as escorts and prostitutes online. Isham, Amie, Kasmikha and 39 others were arrested after responding and arriving in person in Lake Worth to meet up with the fake escorts.

The 42 arrestees were each charged with solicitation of prostitution. They are all from Texas but none of them lived in Lake Worth.

This is the first time such an operation was conducted in Lake Worth. The Lake Worth Police Department will likely do similar stings in the future, according to the department’s chief J.T. Manoushagian.

“Human trafficking is a problem everywhere, whether we can see it or not, and given our close proximity to the border here in Texas it is a bigger problem here than elsewhere in the country,” Manoushagian stated. He pointed out that the Lake Worth Police Department is dedicated to an all-crime approach that focuses not only on easily seen crimes but also on “the crime that lives in the shadows of society”.
