Johnny Depp, 59, has been the face of Dior Sauvage since 2015. Recently, the actor and the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton brand extended their partnership for three more years.

The deal is worth more than $20 million. It is one of the most lucrative celebrity fragrance deals in history.

LVMH’s Dior

Founded on June 3, 1987 by Bernard Arnault, Alain Chevalier and Henry Racamier, LVMH was formed through the merger of Louis Vuitton, which was founded in 1854, and Moët Hennessy. Established in 1971, Moët Hennessy was the result of the merger of Moët & Chandon and Hennessy, which were founded in 1743 and 1765, respectively.

LVMH controls around 60 subsidiaries that manage Dior and 74 other brands. Both LVMH and Dior are headquartered in Paris, France.

Since 2015, Rihanna has been the ambassador of Diorama bag, J’adore Dior perfume and Dior sunglasses. In 2021, Kylian Mbappé became a brand ambassador for Dior Men’s collections and the Sauvage fragrance.

“Jeanne du Barry”

Depp plays Louis XV of France in “Jeanne du Barry” opposite Maïwenn as the title character. She wrote, directed and produced the biographical drama film about Madame du Barry, who died in France on December 8, 1793 at age 50.

“Jeanne du Barry” is the opening film of the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival, which will take place in Cannes, France from May 16-27, 2023. Joining Depp and Maïwenn in the cast are Benjamin Lavernhe as La Borde, Pierre Richard as Le Duc de Richelieu, Melvil Poupaud as Le Comte du Barry, Pascal Greggory as Le Duc d’Aiguillon and India Hair as Adélaïde.
